Help me with some info about driving around Brisbane.
I was struck in traffic in your BrisVegas joint yesterday, on Kingsford Smith Drive, where all the new highrise are being built. First thing I noticed was the absolute lowest cost architecture, then the precast construction, then the coating with cheap paint, ie some sort colour theme to make the joint look like a unassuming, till the paint fades. Then I thought all these dickheads stuck in their cars, on somebody’s timesheet, who is picking up the tab for that, and do any of those stuck in their cars have to pay off one of these units, and how is that going to work out over the next 20 or so years of the course of their loan. But the traffic was pretty rough and maybe there’s a quick solution to it to get around more easily? I mean it took a long time just to drive from Kingsford Smith
Seeking reliable independent grocer
I’m new to the northside of Brisbane and have been searching to no avail for an independent, reliable green grocer. I am all about supporting local businesses and giving my hard-earnt money to someone who I can both trust and who will supply me with quality products every time. If this sounds like you or someone/somewhere you know please shoot me a message. I promise I’ll be a loyal customer. @ jessielou62 submitted by /u/yeppawayiamthrowing [link] [comments]
Park n Ride Options for Gabba Test Match
I’ll be working at the cricket next week from 11am-6pm. My question is regarding parking for the bus. Is it likely I’ll be able to grab a spot at the Carindale park n ride anytime after 10ish? (and the same question in regards to the one in Eight Mile Plains) I live in Redland Bay, usually when I go into the city for university I park at the Hyperdome and take a bus. My research tells me that taking a bus from either Carindale (which I recently learned is only a 15 minute bus ride to Woolloongabba) or Eight Mile Plains (which is my usual option when I work at the Gabba) are the fastest options. TLDR: how screwed can I expect to be if I try to park at either the Carindale or Eight Mile Plains park n ride facilities after 10am on the weekdays? and which option of
T-minus 4 hours until I flee the country for 4 weeks
I am off on my first overseas trip in a few hours. Firstly heading to Iceland, after that on to Norway, then visiting friends in Scotland and finishing up my trip in London! Any last minute tips guys?! P.S. Hope everyone enjoys the summer while I freeze my ass off! submitted by /u/seand00de [link] [comments]
Helicopter flying over inner city suburb with no lights
It’s after midnight. A helicopter has been circling low over my suburb (inner-city south side) for at least fifteen minutes now. I can hear it directly overhead but, no matter how long I look, I can’t see it, so it must be flying without lights. I thought all aircraft had to have lights at night. Does anyone know if there are legal exceptions? Police? Military? submitted by /u/BigRedTomato [link] [comments]

New Macbook Pro at JB Hi-Fi
I wasn’t sure where to ask this so I figure to drop it in the local subreddit – does anyone know if JB Hi-Fi are selling the brand new Macbook Pros? The ones wit the touchbar? My 5 year old Air just died and have been looking to upgrade. submitted by /u/fartwing621 [link] [comments]
