Who wants some stuff?
I’m moving house, and need to get rid of a bunch of stuff. Best (or, possibly, first) offer gets the stuff. Offers can be anything, not just cash (though there’s not a lot of stuff that I actually need). The only caveat: you MUST pick it up, outside business hours, soon (exact date by negotiation). Stuff as follows: 1x tumble drier. About 4.5 kg I think. Works fine, but there’s already one at the new place. 1x Yamaha “Portable Grand” electric piano – Model NP-30. Super entry level, but we have a real piano and don’t need it now. Comes with stand. Worked great when we last packed it away in its box. 1x Queen size bed. Did you know that if you have a spare room with a bed, family members keep wanting to stay over? So we’re getting rid of the spare bed! 1x tall bookshelf. It’s kinda
Group dinner reccomendations
Hey everyone, I’m looking for some possible places to have a group dinner for a friend’s birthday. I was thinking something like korean bbq/hot pot but was also interested to hear about other places people have been. Nothing too fancy or expensive, we’re just a bunch of students. Thanks! submitted by /u/N0tail_ [link] [comments]
Lets talk about cost of living
I just watched this video on /r/all of this kid reviewing fast food in London. This one in particular https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HMwVMP_ZyM (Great channel btw, kid is going places). Anyway I posted this comment on the thread and through it was worth some more discussion. Jesus christ some of that food is cheap. What the fuck is Australia doing, no matter where you go here don’t expect to spend under $12 for a meal. That kid just paid £2 ($3.36 AUD/$2.50 USD) for a burger, 3 wings, and chips. I’d be lucky to get half a fucking chip for that cost here. Fuck you Australia, seriously. Edit – Going to dive a little deeper. UK minimum wage is £7.20. Australian minimum wage is $17.70. Average cost of a meal here is $12. That means I can get one and a half meals for an hour of work. UK…. 3 and a half.
