Looking to get a small segway like vehicle for simple to and from work transport. Tips?

Basically just looking for something small and (cheap if possible…) for general work commute. Roughly to be used around 5 kms per day. I also weigh about 110kgs, so it’d need to be able to hold a decent amount of weight as well. Anyone had any experience with these kinds of things? submitted by /u/Reynbou [link] [comments]

Government took my licence when I renewed it. Need ID to buy alcohol. Any advice?

Today I went in to renew my learners licence because it was expiring in a few weeks. I don’t really drive, I just use my licence as ID to get into bars and buy alcohol etc. When I originally got my licence, I did not wear glasses all the time, so I did not have the S condition (saying that you need to wear glasses to drive) on it. However, now I do wear glasses all the time so I ticked that box on the renewal form. Apparantly this means that I could not continue to hold my previous licence, because it did not have the S condition. Best moderately priced 'first date' scenario in Brisbane (no car)

Hi all, I have a pal who has a first date and is new to Brisbane. He has no car and I am looking for suggestions for a great first date around Brisbane area. Also looking for great first date bars (easy to chat, casual, outdoorsy, possibly a band, easy to grab a seat)? No car but can walk and pubtransport from Paddington area and beyond. submitted by /u/alambi [link] [comments]

Where can I buy a quirky birthday gift?

Hi Brisbane! Does anyone know of any shops in Brisbane which sell quirky little gifts? I’d like to get the guy I’ve been seeing something fun/cute for his birthday relating to his interests (science, travel, booze, music) and I’m not looking to spend too much (we’ve just started dating, and I’m poor!). Thanks for any help 🙂 submitted by /u/BritishWriter000 [link] [comments]

Springfield shopping center solar panel install

Hey folks, I have it on good authority that Springfield Lakes shopping center will be installing some rather large solar panels this week. Not overly interesting to most I’m sure, except perhaps the method they’re using. At dawn on Sunday 8th, they’ll begin moving the panels in place by helicopter. The operation should last about 4 hours, and could be worth a watch! Won’t interest a lot of people, but it’ll certainly be am interesting event. Cheers. submitted by /u/Pelennor [link] [comments]
