Anyone looking for cheap Japan flights in May?

I booked a couple of tickets to Japan for May and unfortunately can’t go on the trip anymore. As it’s with Jetstar there are no refunds, but I can pay to change the name on the tickets. So if these dates work for you and you’d like some cheap tickets, let me know! 2x Adult tickets Includes 2x 15kg baggage each way, but this can be upgraded. Monday 01 May 2017 Departing Brisbane 06:30 AM Arriving Osaka 19:30 PM Friday 12 May 2017 Departing Osaka 21:00 PM Arriving Brisbane 11:50 AM (Sat 13th May) Paid $1,127.91 for tickets. Change fee is $200 ($100 per ticket), so it’ll cost me $1,327.91 all up. Any takers for $900? That’s just $450 a ticket INCLUDING baggage! For reference, the full price for the flight at the moment on the Jetstar site is $1,687.52 plus $192 for 15kg baggage each brings it to $1,879.52.

Meteor over Brisbane

Pretty sure I saw a meteor fall somewhere on Brisbane. It was about 11:50-55 I was driving northbound on the M1 at Springwood. I saw a fluorescent white streaking light falling straight down in the direction of the CBD from me. Of course very hard to tell how far away it was but my perception was telling me it would have been within the greater Brisbane area. Just one more reason I wish I had a dash cam. Anyway keen to know if anyone else spotted it or has any details about it if it ends up on the news etc. it was brief but very obvious and spectacular. submitted by /u/Poncho_au [link] [comments]
