LinkedIn – How to make it stand out in the current job market

Hey guys, I’m wanting out of my current role, but I’m not having much luck direct applying etc. I keep hearing that LinkedIn in is where it’s at when trying to build a network of colleagues and other people to leverage for jobs/recommendations. I’m in a very flooded market ATM – insurance professionals, how do I make my profile stand out to recruiters? Any LinkedIn gurus here? submitted by /u/Pupsbear [link] [comments]

Parking camper van for three days

Hi Brisbane, I’m currently travelling Australia with my camper van and while really enjoying staying on camp grounds, I’m really looking forward to living the luxurious life of sleeping in a real bed again. 🙂 That’s why we’re planning on booking an appartement for the three days we’ll stay in Brisbane. But: where to park the car? It’s 2.80m high, so most secure parking areas are already out. It doesn’t have to be free and park n ride would bei fine as well (hotel/appartement will be in CBD). Any tips? TLDR: need place to park our van for three days, 2.80m height, with easy access to CBD. Thanks! (Excuse my English, not native and horrible mobile phone auto corrections.) submitted by /u/kaessrin [link] [comments]

Looking for first job

I am 17, no previous work experience or any accredited qualifications. I have been looking for after school casual/part-time work the past few months to no avail. Applied to Coles, Hungry Jacks & Domino’s with no response. I applied to Subway and received and interview but the store was way out of reach especially for after school work. I pick things up easily, have good communication skills and am excited to enter the workforce. I’m in Chermside West, if anyone can give me some pointers on places to apply or can connect me with some work it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. submitted by /u/Seeking_Employment1 [link] [comments]
