So I’ve managed to be an adult long enough to be going on a 2nd date with someone, and would like to do something that’s fun and not just the run of the mill thing. I’m aware it’s entirely cheating to crowdsource this, but screw that. submitted by /u/Mathrex88 [link] [comments]

Art prints
Hi there, Trying to get ahead of the game here. My boyfriend’s birthday is in a few months and he has a few pieces of artwork on his computer that I want to get professionally printed and framed. It’s very high resolution art so there’s no issue there, but has anyone had anything like this done? The framing is obviously easy enough to find, but has anyone found a printing place that can do this sort of thing? Price isn’t too much of an issue, but nothing insane. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/MrSplat [link] [comments]
Ice Pak ice cream shop in CBD
Does anyone here know anything about it? Google isn’t giving any relevant results. I went in on opening day and tried one of the saffron ice creams, but what caught my attention were the really strange drinks. They looked like milky frozen cokes that where left undrunk for 20 minutes so the milk and water layered and congealed. Are these a whacky creation or are they inspired from recipes overseas? Saffron and pistachio ice cream points me to Middle Eastern or maybe Indian. I’d have asked the staff but they looked pretty bewildered operating for the first time and gtfo’d submitted by /u/bitchwizzard [link] [comments]
Is a decent gaming laptop achievable for $800?
Hi all. I’m a married, 27 year old school teacher looking to get back into some relaxing, casual gaming. I’ve put approx. $800 aside for a new laptop. What kind of gear should I be looking at? Anyone know someone who will fit it up for me Southside? Thanks! submitted by /u/Australian_Teacher [link] [comments]

Anyone else spot the 'Test Train' today?
http://i.imgur.com/C3IJx03h.jpg Went past it at Bowen Hills today. Wish I’d managed to get a pic of the front or back – they looked straight out of something like Blade Runner or Total Recall. submitted by /u/ZoomJet [link] [comments]

Volunteering at Primary Schools
Hi everyone, I’m making the switch into a Bachelor of Education (Primary) in the upcoming semester after a couple years studying science. I have read a lot of advice regarding getting experience within a school, and a classroom if possible, before making the decision. I reached out to a few local schools before switching degrees, but never heard anything back. Eventually it came time to make up my mind, and I made the switch without ‘getting a taste for it’. That said, I’d love to still spend some time in the classroom environment before the semester kicks off, and throughout my time at uni if possible. Can anyone offer some advice as to how not to get completely ignored for these volunteering opportunities? Is it best to attend schools in person? Call? Email? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙂 submitted by /u/daburs74 [link] [comments]
