You jump through all the hoops, you apply for all the jobs you can find, even the ones that have nothing to do with your skillset or goals but you’ve already applied for everything else. You don’t get a callback because you don’t have three doctorates and personally know the chick working in HR at the company. So now you get the privilege of generating wealth for some scumbag CEO while you get literally nothing in return.
