I’ve emigrated from the UK and I need to get a QLD drivers licence sorted. I have a permanent eye condition in one eye (other is fine) which means I need to get the Medical Certificate form filled in as well as my application, it has sections for my ‘treating doctor’ and an optometrist to fill in. I have a letter from my UK eye specialist stating I’m fine to drive which was enough for UK DVLA but the Aussie obsession with forms means I’m gonna have to do this whole process. I don’t have a GP at the mo (Medicare woman fucked up typing my details in so it’s delayed) so can I just find somewhere to walk in so a doctor can sign my form and let me on my way?
