Need help. Last resor

Hi guys. My parents are in trouble since my Mum was made redundant to the point they’re about to lose their house. Mum is on disability pension for her back and is only allowed to work 10 hours a week to ensure she keeps it. I’m trying to help her find a job as a last resort. She has a Business management degree, has HR experience, retail experience and more. I can PM info and/or a resume if need be. Anything in an office is suitable: secretary work, etc would be great. Her last job was a service manager for a massive national company. I know this is last resort but I’m desperately trying to help my parents out. My mum has amazing work ethic and goes above and beyond! submitted by /u/blue_bee_blue [link] [comments]

Odd Doorknocker. $100 offer for completing a "Financial Survey".

Yesterday I had an odd encounter with a door knocker. He was looking for home owners to do “financial surveys” which would take around 12 minutes for a $100 coles gift card that you could ring up and activate later on. The guy said he was from Such-and-Such Financial (I’ve since forgetten the name) and was looking for participants for surveys. When I asked him what they were used for, he said that it was because “we used to get this information from the ABS but lately their information had become unreliable so we gather it ourselves.” A quick glance at the survey and it was asking for quite detailed financial data. Income, house value, loan amounts, amounts left owing on loans etc, etc. Most concerning at the top of the survey it asked for name, address and contact details. No mention anywhere of any privacy statement or what they

Good longboarding spots

Hey /r/brisbane, I am looking for a good place to cruise, carve and/or bomb hills with as little traffic as possible (including foot traffic). Anybody have any good spots? I haven’t been skating for a few years so I’m going to look like a gooby cunt and don’t really want to stack it in front of a car or something 🙂 I had a really bad stack a few years ago and snapped the base of my front trucks (across the back two screws holding the trucks in place) and cracked the rear trucks in the same place. I kissed the pavement pretty hard, fucked up one of my teeth/gums and got a few stitches in my arm, haven’t been on a board since. So if you know of any good spots for me to go to that’d be awesome. submitted by /u/lifelink [link] [comments]

Has anyone used Classpass?

Hey guys, Looking at expanding my exercise repertoire and am currently investigating classpass. Has anyone on here used it and can tell me what they think of using it around Brisbane? It seems to have a wide range and doesn’t seem too expensive. I’ve read reviews from people in the US but would be keen to get a local opinion. submitted by /u/103895 [link] [comments]
