Tell me about your suburb!

Hey fellow redditors! I want to hear about your suburb and what it’s like to live there (ie culture, demographics, does it have good cafes, shopping etc). I have accepted a new job in Coorparoo and am moving up to Brisbane from Sydney in a few weeks. Looking at renting (maybe buying) for myself. My girlfriend of 3 years just left me, hurting, suggestions around Brisbane?

Hi guys, I’m going to keep this short. My girlfriend of 3 years left me this morning, unexpectedly. I didn’t see this coming at all, and as a result, I’m a bit of a mess. I won’t go into details but, I’m in struggleville. The relationship was my life, coming home to her after work was the best part of my day. Stargazing to the North

I appreciate it’s a full moon this weekend but I’m looking to head north of Brisbane to enjoy the night sky. Has anyone got any good suggestions to try out? Plan on taking some cold food and drinks and chill, so somewhere that might have some open spaces or even tables and chairs would be cool. From what I’ve found Gerrard’s lookout or Howells knob lookout seem to be my best options (I’ve never been to either so not sure if they are exactly what I’m looking for) but would appreciate any other good suggestions!! submitted by /u/trigg-z [link] [comments]

Just bought my first bike – who wants to be my riding buddy

So just bought and hopefully picking up my Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT today, doing my Qride and all that jazz. And then I have the fun 3 months where I can’t ride without a fully licensed rider, and since none of my friends ride I’m SOL haha. I figured since the /r/Brisbane people are fun there might be a couple of people willing to ride around occasionally with a new guy. 24/m as well.
