Anyone in Brisbane dealt with an energy provider called Metered Energy Holdings?

I just moved into a new apartment in Windsor and have had untold troubles trying to secure an energy provider. After many phone calls to all different energy companies and many emails to my property manager, I’ve been informed that my apartment is “locked” in to a provider called Metered Energy Holdings. Quite frankly I think it’s fucking farcical that I can’t select my own provider, and online reviews are very negative stating it’s an overpriced and dodgy service. Other tenants in the building have informed me they use Origin (who can’t find my address!) and both the property manager and Body Corporate have failed to provide me with my meter number. The meter is in a locked cabinet I can’t access. Do I have any other options whatsover?? Any advice is greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/violently-queefing [link] [comments]

A-hole bus driver or incident on bus route?

So I was wondering if anyone happened to know if there was some sort of incident on the 110 inbound route Sunday afternonn at around 5pm? (Across from the Target shops in Buranda) I had just been shopping and had flagged the 110 down but the bus driver simply shook his head no. I thought this might be because the bus was full so I sat down in the shelter as the bus stopped in the line up at the lights, where the bus was I couldn’t see in due to the glare. As the traffic went through tho I could see that there were a total of about 3 people on this bus. Don’t think I’ve gone from chill to furious so fast before! So, I have been around the world and I think I want to move to Brisbane

I am on mobile and a little too lazy (tbh) to search properly. I am a kiwi, and have visited (as part of a job offer, a week of free time to look around and a v8 Calais!!) your lovely city about three years ago and loved it. I’ve been to, and lived in all sorts of places but the time has come to pick a new proper home for the family and me and I keep coming back to Brisbane. An quick search has shown a few things, it’s probably cheaper to rent than Auckland and there seems to be quite a few jobs around that aren’t related to the boom (and bust) Australian thing. I am a engineer, hands on, specialist in stainless, hands off, expert in autodesk inventor. The wife is in upper management/operations with the local council. Also an older kid who can look after himself
