Shameless self promotion: I'm having my first exhibit on Friday! It's at Crowbar and it's free
Hullo! So I know this sub doesn’t always react great to self promotion, but I’m just so happy that this is my first public exhibit. I kinda wanted to post about Yonder, but it was like $30 and while I had artwork there, even I couldn’t afford to get in. But if you are keen to see the next generation of artists, some older well known ones, and are sick of the same stuff coming out of Junky Comics/west end/institutions, I’d recommend coming down to the Lords Exhibition at Crowbar in the Valley. Free to enter from 6pm, and if you mention you’re from reddit around me, I’ll be all excited probably laugh a little and be glad you came. I figured people here might be keen to know about some of the goings ons. It is technically a part of the Street Arts festival, but I know how hot

What's the best call centre to work at in Brisbane?
inb4 all of them I’m currently employed in a call centre and have been for some time, and hate it. I liked it at first but it’s getting shitter and shitter and I want to try somewhere else. Ideally anything other then call centre would be great but these are my “skills” at the moment and I feel like I’d have a chance. Anyway for call centre workers or ex workers, where have you worked and what are good places? My biggest thing is having adequate staff and management that give somewhat of a shit about the staff submitted by /u/AccessHollywoo [link] [comments]
Real Estate Problems
Hey guys, Anybody have any experience providing a real estate with a Breach Notice for repairs? We moved in a month ago into a property with no aircon, but had 4 ceiling fans… The ceiling fans don’t work. After two weeks they sent out an electrician who said that they need to be replaced… 2 weeks later another electrician showed up who just stated the same thing the first guy did. The real estate are full of it, constantly just giving me a yes yes, oh it’s waiting for the owner, refuse to call me back etc I’m pretty much ready to just send them a breach notice and go through therta process, anybody done this and had any success? The other option is simply getting it done myself and sending them the invoice but I don’t see that going down well submitted by /u/Honeybadgerpls [link] [comments]
Bar/barista jobs: best way to apply?
Hi all, So I’m looking for jobs in either a bar tending or barista areas but I lack experience for both. Does anyone know of any cafes/bars/pubs that would be willing to take on a newbie and train them fresh? I do have an RSA so that’s one issue down. Big problem I’ve found is that places require experience so unless you somehow got it without being paid, you won’t get a job. Furthermore, it’s a matter of walking in, resume in hand, or applying online. Any tips? Thanks! submitted by /u/MattehPee [link] [comments]
