Free/Cheap Parking in Brisbane City?

I’ve recently moved to Brisbane (this city is amazing!!!) and have found an apartment to rent in the middle of the city (near Cathedral Square). I’ll be charged $10 per day to park my car in the building and I was hoping to find somewhere to park on the street or in another building either for free or cheaper than that. I’ll drive to work so I really only need a place to park it at night. Any tips or hidden parking nooks? It would be really appreciated. 🙂 submitted by /u/akasakasan [link] [comments]

You're good Brisbane!

Just spent a few days in your city on the tail end of a road trip and I just wanted to say you have a great city. I spent most of my time walking so I generally stayed around the CBD, Paddington and South Bank. I would have liked to have gone further out around Brisbane but didn’t have a car these last few days. I did spend 3 days in Fraser Island and 3 days in Byron Bay over the last 11 days. The good: -Southbank parklands are amazing. Nothing quite like it where I’m from (Toronto Canada) -the botanical gardens and all the wildlife in it -All the great coffee in the city. -the beautiful women in Brisbane and all of Australia. -Brisbane is super clean. Didn’t notice any trash laying about The bad: -The heat! How do you live with temps in the high 30s. I walked

The times are changing with the new global labour market. New IT graduates today will look at people like me with scorn and disgust at my “lucky break” as they drive around in their Uber cars between lawnmowing jobs in the new service economy, or perhaps before moving overseas to where the real jobs actually are. But apparently we have to find high paying jobs. What are these highly paid jobs of which they speaks ? ……….I know ! ……I’ll bet they is referring to management jobs in the NSW government that fires
