Does anyone remember PowerUp BBS, before it became an isp?

At times the playfulness of this subreddit reminds me of the brief but glorious time when PowerUp was a Bulletin Board Service (BBS) and shared that dial-up space with a bunch of others. Various Brisbane people would share pics (maybe even of Adelaide st) critique various experiences at McDonalds and organise get-together BBQs via dial-up access to the PowerUp BBS. Then suddenly over what appeared to be a few months everyone went from just accessing a local BBS to accessing an ISP via PowerUP and the wonder of the Internet distracted us from pics of Adelaide st … until now 😀 Here’s a brief history of PowerUp I found. If we can't have bins in our train stations, surely the terrorists have already won!

So I was sitting at the Valley station I see someone has left a pile of rubbish so being the good citizen I am I pick up the rubbish and go to put it in a bin, only there are no bins. I find a QR worker and ask them where I might find a bin, they tell me there are no bins in the station. So I have to go up stairs all the way out or the station just to put some rubbish in the bin.
