So…I’m in my early 30s, have always used public transport, and I’ve never driven a car. (Okay, once around a parking lot). When I was a teen, I had interest, by my parents shouted me down and I let it go, and learned to love/hate buses and trains. Now they’re encouraging me to get my learners, and I’m less-than-convinced – mostly because I feel that I’m ten or so years behind where I should be, and therefore will always be behind the curve of skill and confidence compared to where I would be if I had started as a teen. Is there anywhere I can drive – car park, private lot, main roads centre, etc – without a licence?
