Hi everyone, I’m making the switch into a Bachelor of Education (Primary) in the upcoming semester after a couple years studying science. I have read a lot of advice regarding getting experience within a school, and a classroom if possible, before making the decision. I reached out to a few local schools before switching degrees, but never heard anything back. Eventually it came time to make up my mind, and I made the switch without ‘getting a taste for it’. That said, I’d love to still spend some time in the classroom environment before the semester kicks off, and throughout my time at uni if possible. Can anyone offer some advice as to how not to get completely ignored for these volunteering opportunities? Is it best to attend schools in person? Call? Email? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙂 submitted by /u/daburs74 [link] [comments]
