This is an update to my earlier post about getting ripped off of a promised refund of the unused balance on a currency card used at the Stones Corner festival a few weeks back. Well… it’s good news everyone, I got my money back but it was a pretty ridiculous process which has certainly turned me off ever trusting anyone who uses these stupid “fun money” cards. It’s 2017 damnit, anyone heard of PayPass? Where I left you at last time was after my conversation with the Stones Corner Festival people, who in no uncertain terms told me a refund was totally impossible. If I had further complaints, they directed me to the parent company sponsoring their festival, the Stones Corner Hotel. These seem to be separate entities? Well, turns out they did have access to surplus funds not refunded (surprise!?) and were easily able to hand it over. There
