Earlier this year I was staying with a family in Ascot until their father died. Overnight, I had to find places to stay for the next three weeks but I had no money. I jumped on the Brisbane subreddit as well as a facebook page and posted my problem and quickly found three places to stay for the next three weeks. Each host was amazingly warm and welcoming. I’ve tried this in different cities since to mixed results. Houston was terrible. Switzerland was the worst. Brazil was… interesting. Seattle was great. San Diego was oddly endearing. But none of them were nearly as good as Brisbane. Anyways, thanks for helping out a nomad in need. You’re the best.
