I have a bean bag full of beans that I want to get rid of. Also my wife has collected a couple of dozen Styrofoam near trays which were going to be used for kids craft activities, but that never eventuated. I rang the council for disposal options and they told me that any Styrofoam up to 5m3 will be accepted free for recycling at the transfer station. But when I got there the attendant told me that they cannot accept bean bag beans (wrapped up in a garbage bag), and the meat trays aren’t Styrofoam (really?). I’d have to dispose of them in the tip which would have cost me my last voucher or pay the minimum fee. I rang the council again and they told me to just put the whole lot in the general waste bin. This seems wrong to me. Surely beanbag beans will end up
