Sound engineers brisbane

Hi. Any sound engineers around that could please give some advice on how to properly soundproof the shared wall of my townhouse (just one side – the other backs on to a double garage) Having issues with the subwooofer the neighbour uses – though they are ordering a stand. Feeling and hearing the thud. Townhouse was built around 25 years ago. I am willing to lose some space for this – the issue is only in the downstairs and one section (where both our tv and lounges are). Happy to ‘build’ a wall and use the barrierboard product but wanted an indication if this would be useful given the issue with low frequency travelling and being felt, that it (from my naive understanding) can’t be ‘stopped’. Also, would moving my lounge and putting the tv (in my home opposite to how it is now)? Help? The tv is walll mounted
