I ride my bicycle from the city to my home in Ashgrove almost daily. Yesterday, as I made a left off Enoggera Road onto Ashgrove Avenue I heard a loud noise in the branches of a tree above my head. I looked up and saw what I thought was a branch crashing down in front of me. I swerved out of the way and once clear of what I thought was a branch, I looked back to see something else fall out of the tree and smack into the road next to the branch. I braked, turned around and rode back on the foot path to check what it was. Turned out it wasn’t a tree branch but a good sized snake! The brown object turned out to be a possum. As I got off my bike for a closer look the snake bit the possum near the neck and
