Hi, I’m in need of a new resume. My employment ends at the end of next month and I’ve been applying to numerous employers in my industry with only one interview in 3 months. My cover letter is fine, I tailor it to the advertised requirements, etc. So I think my weak point is the actual resume itself. I had it written up for me a few years ago and I’ve bastardised it over and over the last couple years adding to it, removing stuff etc. I think it’s just time to ditch it and find a new one that’s a bit more eye catching. I’m not great at writing the damn things and I don’t really know what the current expectations are regarding formatting, colour, standing out etc. So any recommendations on who to go through to have a new one made up?
