Company I work for is looking to hire a new (Full Time, 45hr week) junior programmer / support person. It doesn’t require you have a degree or formal training in programming/IT – if you can exhibit enough knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML in an interview you are going to be in with a good chance. We are generally looking for someone to come on board and help triage the helpdesk requests, data requests, bug reports as well as helping develop a lot of the bigger projects we have happening. We are having a hard time finding suitable applicants, either they are far too qualified or don’t have any interest in programming. If you understand some basic principles, have a genuine interest in web development and programming, everything else will be learnt on the job!
