Hello everyone, and thanks for reading this! I’m a Italo-Brazilian software engineer (C++/Qt) looking to relocate from Brazil to Brisbane with my German wife. We are specifically interested in Brisbane because of the weather, the size of the city, and the prices being way lower when compared to Sydney. Now, we would really like to be able to live in a house – I work from home, I prefer working on a spacey environment as opposed to being locked down on an apartment (which wouldn’t be the end of the world either). With that in mind, we started to look for places to rent around Augustine Heights and Redbank Plains – seeing from the outside, these seem to be our kinds of neighborhoods/suburbs. They have struck us as seemingly peaceful and secure areas, and Google map tells me that commuting to downtown Brisbane would take approximately 1h20 minutes during rush
