Hello Brisbane Redditors, I’m also moving to Brisbane by next month for work. I’ve had a look at the post by bossco3 but have some additional questions. I’m moving from Friedrichshain, Berlin and as u might know, Berlin is known for it nightlife and parties. But what I love most about it is the liberal and open-minded attitude of the people here. Since I’m originally from India, I have face racism before and this is a bit of a concern for me. Therefore I am also looking for an alternative neighborhoold in Brisbane, preferably with youngish and open-minded people as well. Are there any such areas to look at for accommodation? Which areas do u recommend? What about getting around? Should I bring my bike with me or is it not worth it? Is Brisbane a bike-friendly- city? Will I need winter clothing?
