So I currently work as an in-house designer, but the dream is to work at a design studio/agency and I’ve almost finished putting together my new folio and resume to start sending them around. Only problem is, one of my friends who’s also a designer was telling me that his friends that work in studios/agencies work ridiculous hours and get burnt out within months of working there. So I’m just wondering, is there anyone here who has first hand experience working in a studio as opposed to an in-house role? Obviously peoples experience will vary drastically depending on the company, but I’m just looking for a bit of insight before I take the jump. TLDR; Want to work in a design studio/agency but don’t want to risk getting burnt out from ridiculous hours submitted by /u/seand00de [link] [comments]
