So recently Ive been catching a bus into the city because it’s not particularly practical to ride my motorbike in a suit in this heat. Having never had the privilege of experiencing the poor service offered by our transport system I am shocked and disappointed at how unreliable it is. Once I looked at the bigger picture I was even more annoyed when I saw that my 2.8km bus ride costs $3.80 each way! This is amongst the highest cost in Australia and also ranks as one of the higher costs worldwide. And for what? On average 2/5 services home a week that I attempt to take dont turn up. The drivers quite often miss peoples stops and even drive straight past people hailing the bus. (Dont give me the bullshit excuse that the bus is full, it was the wrong stop etc…its not).
