I was on my way home this afternoon, just at sunset, driving through [redacted southern suburb], going the speed limit when suddenly in the middle of the road sitting on the white dividing line was a small wallaby.. except I saw him literally 2 seconds before he ran in front of my wheels.. kthud. Drove back and he’s as dead as a doornail. RIP. I feel absolutely f**king terrible but it was completely unavoidable and I did nothing wrong. Unfortunately these little critters like to run into the headlights not away.. So beware the next time you’re driving on the outskirts at dusk.
