A friend of mine is moving up to Brisbane in a few months and is looking at several job options to get them going while they settle in etc. They currently work part time for a taxi company and enjoy the people contact and driving etc and was asking about becoming an Uber driver here. So I’m wondering if any of you reading this do (or did) drive for Uber and have any tips or suggestions that might help a new starter out. Particularly, I’d like to know if it is possible to make a ‘living wage’ by driving with a reasonable set of hours? Not concerned about driving late/early etc but more, like are they going to work 90 hours a week and only make $215 for all the effort? Any thoughts or advice you can offer would be appreciated. submitted by /u/Startingout12345 [link] [comments]
