Advice on bill from real estate agent for "maintenance"?

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read this. A week ago I heard what I thought was a water leak in the downstairs ceiling directly underneath the upstairs shower basin. I reported this to the real estate who dispatched a plumber to inspect the issue. The plumber couldn’t replicate the sound of the leak and didn’t cut a hole to validate any existence of water damage. Because no leak was detected and no repairs were made the real estate is claiming this doesn’t qualify as “maintenance” and so have billed me the expense of the plumber’s inspection. I will be calling the RTA as soon as I can to discuss the scenario with them. In the mean time, I was hoping to see if anyone else out there has been in a similar situation and could hopefully offer some advice? submitted by /u/Yetamot [link] [comments]
