What's the logic behind keeping people out of venues? (bars and clubs etc)

With the introduction of lockouts and compulsary ID scanning etc I’m just wondering what is the logic behind keeping people out of venues late at night? Seems like most if not all of these coward punch deaths the government is responding to happen out on the street in public rather than in a venue, so it appears counter productive having thousands of drunk people roaming the streets unable to go anywhere late at night in places like the Valley, instead of being inside a venue with it’s own security and bouncers etc This isn’t meant to be a criticism or anything I’m just sure I’m not the only one who’s thought of this and I’m curious to know what the argument for it is submitted by /u/John-Matrix [link] [comments]

Is RACQ trying to take advantage of me?

Hey guys, I got into an accident (not my fault) and got it inspected by RACQ. They said that it will be a write off because repairs are 4.5k and the value of my car is less than that (Honda civic VTI 2006) problem is. The market value of my car is around 6k but they said because I have paint discolourations and a couple of hail marks that they will give me around 2-3k for my car… is this legal? Is there a way I can keep my car and the money? Or am I at total loss here. Do you have any advice for me thanks lads. submitted by /u/Darktmt [link] [comments]

Gyms around Logan area

Hey r/brisbane :). I’m looking for a 24hr gym, that isn’t too crowded but still has a lot of the gear. Currently, I live around the Browns Stains area, but I’m willing to travel 10-20 minutes for the right gym. I’ve been to quite a few gyms in the area, but none of them really tickled my fancy. If anyone knows of some good gyms around, that’d be great. Thanks 🙂 submitted by /u/Jiecke [link] [comments]
