Just wondering if any fellow redditors are heading to The Met Friday night to experience Kayzo? I’m new to Brissy and hoping to meet some likeminded people 😀 submitted by /u/chriso1234 [link] [comments]

Good places to play some pool in Redlands?
As the title reads… Can anyone suggest some good places to play pool in the Redlands area? Preferably somewhere licensed with reasonably well maintained tables? submitted by /u/WickedSister [link] [comments]

Food delivery driving for extra cash. Is it worth it?
I am an event planner and I do pretty much all my work at home in my own time. During my dead time I am looking to potentially take on more work but can’t commit to regular shifts. I am thinking of taking up delivery driving in my spare time for Uber Eats/Menulog/Foodora/Deliveroo. I live in the Valley, so a pretty busy area for it. I searched old posts about this in the subreddit but they were all about a year old and well before I noticed the big boom of them in my area. Do you have any insight into which one is better? Do you know what the pay is like? It is feasible to do it with a car, or not worth it unless I get a bike? Thanks! submitted by /u/Birch57 [link] [comments]
Northside library that is somewhat quiet and peaceful?
I usually work from home but have tradies here and a big deadline so need to get out. Last time I went to the local library it was more like a creche and a place people went to have mobile phone conversations where they wouldn’t be disturbed. Wondering if anyone knows of a library on the northside (preferably) that actually has a quiet place for, you know, thinking and studying and learning … submitted by /u/shaggyishungry [link] [comments]
Down for a week
Hey brisbanites, I’m down in Brisbane until Sunday visiting my parents (who only moved here a year or so ago). We’ve been to GOMA and the museum, picnicked in Southbank, and saw Bakersfield Mist at QUT last night. What’d you recommend we check out? submitted by /u/MyLifeInArt [link] [comments]

Australian online stores are pathetic
I ordered some items from the US (Newegg) and an Australian online store (Mwave) on Friday. All items were showing as in stock, and are still showing as in stock. The items from the US (Newegg) arrived yesterday. I just called the Australian shop and they don’t have the item in stock as it’s coming from their supplier. There’s a possibility they receive the item today from their supplier and a possibility, although unlikely, that we will get the items by Friday. If I had ordered the item from the US, I’d already have it. Something can travel from halfway across the globe faster than it can travel from the next state within the same country. What a world we live in. submitted by /u/Tovora [link] [comments]
