Looking for photos or descriptions of 1880's Brisbane.

I’m looking into some family history and found an ancestor that arrived in Brisbane in 1884 and died 5 days later from heat stroke. I’m looking for some sort of feel of what Brisbane was like in those days, photos would be great other descriptions would be good too. Where would be some good places to look for these. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/Onegodoneloveoneway [link] [comments]

Do you know anyone with vinyl DJ gear?

So as part of my move, I am cleaning out a lot of my old vinyl. I have been meaning to catalogue them and am starting with all of the old techno vinyls from 90’s-00’s. Does anyone know who I could approach to sell these to once I’ve catalogued? I’m not looking to make a profit I am just trying to make space to move! Cheers! submitted by /u/supreme_101 [link] [comments]

Buffalo lawn approaching spring…

For all you lawn care gurus out there, coming out of a dry winter, my back lawn is looking brown and thatchy in parts, but nice and green in others. My yard is exposed to sun all day with very little shade, how do I encourage a nice thick, green lawn to grow this spring? Aerate? Fertilise? Wetting agent? Top coat? And in what order? submitted by /u/Alwaysawake28 [link] [comments]

[Help] What's your worst property management/ real estate agent story? (research)

Hi r/brisbane we’ve all had a bad property management or real estate agent experience, I’d like to hear yours. I’m working with a Brisbane based start-up looking at intelligent buildings, including communication between tenants and those managing the properties; if you have a little time we’d love for you to also complete a survey which will help our validation process https://goo.gl/forms/TQDELKra8kEBYdXJ3 It’s a good chance to vent about a bad building management experience or share a great one. We are specifically looking for people who live in apartments, but all responses are valuable to our research. submitted by /u/AfrosareDandy [link] [comments]

Looking for a niche(ish) employee…

G’day mates. I’m the sales and office manager for a security company based in the Brisbane surrounds (east side). The security world (much like everything else) is rapidly hurtling towards the IT world and we often find ourselves in need of someone that is brainy on the IT side of things but also interested in different technologies (cameras, access control, etc). We are going to put a seek ad up too, but being the avid Redditor that I am, I thought I’d post it up here as well. submitted by /u/chodabomb [link] [comments]
