Is studying music at QUT worth it?
I’m about to graduate high school and I’m interested in a music degree (hopefully majoring in composition). Brisbane HiFi subreddit anywhere? -Speakers for sale
I’ll move the post if this is the wrong place. I’ve been building speakers for a while and every now and then have to reduce the numbers. These are kinda special, most people haven’t heard of Full Range, Single Driver speakers, and few know about “Mass Loaded Transmission Line” designs. The M12-F165s retail on Bob Brines’s website for $US1,695.00 or $AUD2,232.00 (as of 24-6-2017) I’ve advertised them on the ebay for $700. Price for Redditors is $600. Which is about what they cost to build. These are painted with Norglass marine paint. Not perfect but nice from a meter away. I used 18mm MDF with solid wood internal stringers (stiffeners) and plywood inner frames. These boxes are stiff. The exterior vertical corner bracing is Tasmanian Oak. Insides are lined with 25mm fibreglass panels. Fibreglass is the most efficient for keeping higher frequencies from coming out the port. Drivers are mounted
