Having trouble finding work.

Well not myself, but my long term partner is. He’s been job-hunting excessively for office work/call centres to no luck. The job market is rough in Brisbane so every position in this area gets lots of applicants. Unfortunately his Resume is not impressive as due to unfortunate circumstances his previous work didnt last very long (5 Months). But he is so passionate and charismatic and honest.. He wants to work somewhere he can stay long term and work hard. Its just hard not getting a chance or being interviewed. Is there anything you would suggest to help him in this instance?
