Has anyone had any experience with a wool mattress or other organic/natural mattress

Bought a nice mattress. It smells of chemicals. Put it in the sun for weeks. Still smells of chemicals. It was the second one as the first had a burn so that is just how the mattress is. It has memory foam, antibacterial treatment and other chemical things plus I think the fire retardants are making me sick. So I am looking into an organic mattress such as an organic cotton futon or a wool mattress. I also see there is natural latex. What are other people’s experience with natural bedding?
