Military = Police = Shit outcome?
Anyone noticed that QLD police have started dressing like para-Military? When I was a kid, they were respectable guys in suits, TV ads about police beats [a route of walk] and making friends in the community – Now they look like guys ready to kick ass and take names. All about names… Not sure how nex generation will take this. It’s a concern. Some great suggestions lately out of USA how militarisation of police creates serious social problems, but worse that non lethal force results in unintended abuse/deaths [I.e. tasers are legally not supposed to be used unless as an alt. to lethal force] Anyone scared?
