Regarding Maxi Taxi hire in Brisbane, if you hail a maxi from the street or hire it from the rank, the $12 surcharge does not apply. It only applies to bookings of that specific vehicle type. I raise this as the previous 3 times I’ve used a maxi taxi from the rank, they have all tried to charge this fee. 2 of the 3 times resulted in the driver apologising and the surcharge was removed (although it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing trying to charge it). Most recently (today), a driver became abusive and insisted we pay the surcharge, which we obviously did not! I’ll report him to Black and White. I assume they get away with it more often than not, so hoping this can raise some awareness to call out dodgy drivers. submitted by /u/bitterhands [link] [comments]

Engraving (laser?CNC?hand?) a metal pen in Brisbane?
I’ve got a reasonably cheap little duracell pen light I use quite a lot of work – I wanted to get my name engraved on it to hopefully keep it from getting lost – any suggestions of somewhere cheapish in the CBD area? (also if you have any suggestions for a better pen light, would love them) submitted by /u/Redsource23 [link] [comments]

Selling ticket to Bring Me the Horizon
I’m selling an adult ticket to Bring Me the Horizon who are performing at Riverstage tomorrow at 6:00pm for $70 (the ticket cost me $96.68). They’re supported by Architects and ’68. I’ve posted an add on gumtree but thought I’d post here as well. submitted by /u/DragonFox27 [link] [comments]
