I met a girl 4 months ago who was on a study visa and her visa is expiring soon which is hopefully going to be renewed as she is continuing her study. However I’m trying to figure out what my options are if for some reason it gets denied or for the future as the renewal will only be 6 months due to the cost. I’m aware of the work visa which as she has a degree in accounting could be a great option if she can find something, however what are my other options if that doesn’t work? It seems de facto is not an option as you have to live together for 12 months and that won’t be happening for quite a while. Any suggestions would be great! submitted by /u/homingconcretedonkey [link] [comments]

Finding an estranged parent; is there a process?
This is harder to write than I expected. Basically, I’m looking to somehow find and make contact with my long lost dad, no “down the road for a pack of smokes, never to return” stories. I’ve heard stories from a relative or two over the years about him shifting around in western QLD and BNE for the better part of my life but they were always skint on actual details. The guy would be ~72 at present, so I’m not looking to give him a heart attack or anything but I figure that if I’m ever going to do this, before he dies is probably the best time. Has anyone had experience doing the same thing? submitted by /u/Mercness [link] [comments]
Where can I go for a good time?
Alright blokes. Need to take let my misses off her leash and take her out and about for a change but I don’t really know where would be a good start in little Ole Bris. I’ve been to comedy clubs, night clubs, casinos, high end restaurants, eat street. Need some help finding something that every other basic bitch and her friends hasn’t already trashed. Input appreciated. Cheers. submitted by /u/csgecko [link] [comments]

Outstanding tax returns :(
Hi Gang! So I may have a little problem with the taxman. There was a period of time where, for one reason or another, I neglected to complete my tax returns. I’ve finally grown up and am trying to fix these past mis-deeds. Has anyone been in this situation before and can offer leads on tax agents that aren’t going to rape my wallet to complete the returns? TIA submitted by /u/MC_llama [link] [comments]
Does anyone know where I can buy small cans of safcol tuna?
Specifically 90-100g cans in spring water? I’ve found 425g cans in Woolies, but all the Woolies I’ve been to no longer sell the single use cans. submitted by /u/bekastrange [link] [comments]

Anyone know where i can find a cheap gaming PC
I wouldn’t want to spend more than $600 and was wondering if anyone knew of a place/ people who are trying to sell one. This subreddit has helped me find things like this before so that is why I’m asking submitted by /u/the133448 [link] [comments]
Do you Halloween?
Hi Brisbane! I’ve recently moved back to Brisbane after spending 5 years in Sydney. I lived in Redfern (central Sydney) last Halloween, and for the first time we decorated our house for the kids, both big and small. We had a great turn out, although we were one of only a few on the street that really made an effort. I wondering if this year it’s worth the effort. Does Brisbane do Halloween? Do you have kids? Do you take them out? Do you decorate and offer lollies? I know plently of adults use it as an excuse to have parties. But it was so, so much fun to decorate and scare/entertain the kids. I’d love to do it again. I still have my smoke machine. Thoughts? Feelings? submitted by /u/Babettewest [link] [comments]
