Advice: Fighting traffic cop's opinion (no evidence) in court

Hi I just want to get some advice from anyone that has taken a traffic offence to court? I was pulled over this week for alleged use of a mobile phone while driving. I told the police officer that I wasn’t using the phone to which he replied “Oh so we’re going to play this game are we?” and just issued me a ticket. He also cautioned me about driving too close to another vehicle. I dispute both claims but I didn’t get a ticket for driving too close so that’s not the issue. I don’t have anything to prove to anyone here about whether I was or wasn’t using my phone – I know I wasn’t. I’ve been picked up for phone use while driving before (which I know is incredibly dumb, even if I was in congestion) but I’ve learnt from it. When I got my new phone
