Advice wanted: Setting up a birthday party in a park

I’m considering having my kid’s first birthday party at a rather popular park in a couple of months, and looking for some advice from people who have done this sort of thing before. There will be around 20 adults and a handful of toddlers, so shade and a table for food is a necessity. I want an idea of how early I’m going to need to get up on a Sunday to secure a decent spot. submitted by /u/scaredofsmurfs [link] [comments]

Street parking

So my wife parked her car in front of a house roughly 2 meters from their driveway. Not on thier nature strip, clearly on the street and there is no yellow lines or signs. She did this for 2 days and yesterday she found a threatening letter on her windscreen. She is clearly petrified. I don’t want her to deal with it. I will stay away as well, but is there something that I should do? submitted by /u/briscity [link] [comments]

Senior level programmer looking for work

My spouse was working under contract building a business app for the past 2 years. Yesterday, the project was canned, leaving him suddenly out of work. The kicker is… we’re expecting twins in around 8 weeks. He was telecommuting – the company was located in Sydney. So, he is fully set up to work from home. He has an ABN and is registered for GST. Does anyone have any leads for freelance/contract or even part time work for him? Any websites he can visit to pick up small programming tasks? Is anyone needing a senior level programmer? Any help you can provide would be fantastic. submitted by /u/WickedSister [link] [comments]
