I’m stuck here at work in a call center… Bored as because nobody is calling today, figured I might see how everybody’s weekend went. submitted by /u/lifelink [link] [comments]

Thoughts on using a dehumidifier to make the summer more bearable?
In preparation for trying to survive another hot and icky summer, I’ve been thinking about buying a dehumidifier to make staying indoors in our apartment a bit more bearable. I do have aircon but I don’t think running it for the whole summer is a very economical/environmentally friendly solution. So does anyone in Brisbane use a dehumidifier? Does it make the summer easier to get through? I’ve heard that it’s not heat in Brisbane that’s the killer but rather the tropical humidity – keen to hear thoughts! submitted by /u/Rigby [link] [comments]

Anyone in St Lucia see a flash of light between 10pm-12am last night?
Probably a bit of lighting, but still. There was also a large “boom” I heard probably 30 minutes out, and it definitely wasn’t thunder. submitted by /u/claw106 [link] [comments]
Nice wood suppliers in brisbane, for woodworking?
Hi Brisbane, I’m looking to start some woodworking projects, like some carved jewelry boxes or something. I am wondering if anyone knows of any good wood suppliers with different types in small quantity for craft woodworking, as opposed to the big hardware stores/timber outlets which seem to only do average/low quality pine and such. Any leads would be most appreciated. Thanks! submitted by /u/seravitae [link] [comments]
Does anyone know a fruit/veggie shop in Ipswich that gives away (or sells cheaply) their unsaleable merchandise/scraps – for worm farms, etc?
