I haven’t had a good experience with my mechanic and hoping for some recommendations. It’s for a Mazda. Looking for someone who is not biased towards females. Around Brendale would be perfect, but if I can walk to the train line – It’s worth it for a good mechanic. I checked the previous threads before posting this, they’re fairly old. Where can I go to make a Medicare claim on the Northside?
Hi all, A few times I’ve visited by doctor Medicare has been down, so I’ve been unable to get the claim directly refunded to my account. I’ve tried endlessly to do it online, but their pain in the ass system tells me my accounts aren’t linked, and when I try to do so, they tell me my Medicare isn’t recognised, and to call Medicare. Of course, I can never get them on the phone either. Is there any where that I can go, in person, to make my claim? Thanks! submitted by /u/brisbaber [link] [comments]
How far away do I have to live?
I work in Bracken Ridge and started my search in Strathpine and worked my way up through North Lakes, Narangba, Deception Bay, Burpengary and beyond. Despite being told “you need to live further away from the city” I still can’t find anywhere affordable. The weekly rent for a unit in Caboolture is comparable to Nundah… but I get an extra bedroom I don’t need. So far the only realistic options I have are share houses (god forbid) or moving back home. Surely the market can’t be this screwed up and I’m overlooking something or somewhere?. submitted by /u/SingingMagpie [link] [comments]

Mt Barney SE ridge
So I just got back from going up and down the South ridge, and tbh I thought it was pretty easy and that the difficulty of it is really overstated. I want to go back for another trip sometime, and do the SE ridge to rum jungle, then west peak and down the S ridge/peasants the second day. Whats the se ridge like in comparison to the south one? Honestly I think Tibrogargan was harder than the south ridge, and I did Tibro with a day pack and this with an overnighter. submitted by /u/DippidyDoppody [link] [comments]
Career counsellors/advisors?
Does anyone know of any career advisors in Brisbane that could give general advice for a reasonably recent graduate who most likely wants to go back to uni for more study but isn’t sure what? UQ offer advisors who I have seen once before but I’m not sure if they’re available more than 6 months are graduating or if they’re taking appointments at the moment anyway. Not exactly sure who to try and look for to ask questions really but you guys at r/brisbane seem like a knowledgable bunch 🙂 submitted by /u/VineShield [link] [comments]
