Hey everyone of r/brisbane Can someone point me in the direction of a good fish & chip shop in brisbane?? I’m talking the cheap and covered in batter & layered with chicken salt type, not the fancy expensive stuff . I had a local one in Albion but it shut down recently and I’ve been looking ever since Used to live in Melbourne and they had that stuff down pat, but I’ve been unsuccessful in finding anything similar in brisbane, with the exception of Dougs Fish & Chips in Sandgate but that’s too far for me to travel So where abouts in Brisbane city and surrounding areas (Kelvin Grove, even as far out as Chermside) can i find the best, cheapest fish and chip shops?? Has anyone hired a marequee before?
Hi everyone, I am looking to host an event for my local football club early next year and have the thought of hiring a big marquee for a bit of 100 people. Has anyone hired a large marquee in Brisbane before? Any suggestions for a reliable company with a good set-up at a reasonable price? submitted by /u/fintage [link] [comments]

Working Holiday Canadian looking for temp work
Hello Brisbanites, I thought I would see if anybody on this sub knows of anything or anyone personally that can help me find a job. I am currently going the old fashion route of Seek, Gumtree, Hays recruitment and Tacti-call swell. I work at Woolworths currently but my employer visa contract is only 6 months. The contract ends next month. I’m not interested in sponsorship because I cannot afford it and I don’t intend on staying in the country past March 2017 anyway. So I essentially need work for only 4 more months I have retail, office administration and manufacturing (machine operating experience). I don’t mind general labour type roles but I need to find something in the inner suburbs or CBD I can walk or bus to because I have no vehicle. Thanks in advance for any tips! submitted by /u/pondiano [link] [comments]

Looking for a GP in Auchenflower/CBD to see about my anxiety and depression.
24 year old male, moved to Brisbane after graduating uni last year. No friends, no girlfriend. Anxiety is both existential and social. Simple things like talking to colleagues and going to the barber genuinely scare me. I can hardly look people in the eye. Most people think I’m extremely rude or autistic. I need help ASAP. submitted by /u/BrisbaneDepression [link] [comments]
