Chicken Magic Clayfield to close :(
Just saw this. They had the best chicken, mayo and gravy rolls there. Text from behind paywall: ONE of Brisbane’s fast food institutions has permanently closed its doors, much to the dismay of its thousands of loyal customers. Chicken Magic, at Clayfield, in Brisbane’s north, has been a favourite with people across the city for years. It regularly appeared in The Courier-Mail’s Best Of Brisbane lists, famed for its delicious hot chickens and amazing chips. A sign on the door of the cafe explains that the business has “permanently closed due to illness.” The news has caused a stir on social media, with customers expressing their disappointment. One regular customer Liz Jackson, said on Facebook: “It’s a very sad day. This was my favourite Chicken & Chip shop. The chips were the best I’ve tasted. If I had a flag it would be at half mast today. I wish you

Mactaggarts Place walkway
Residents draw to the attention of the Lord Mayor and Councillors to the matter of the re-establishment of the public walkway connecting Vernon Terrace and Riverwalk that passes through Mactaggarts Place, 53 Vernon Terrace, Teneriffe. The conversion of Mactaggarts Place was approved by Council in 1994. As a part of the approved design the scheme included a publicly accessible landscaped area and a walkway connecting Vernon Terrace to Riverwalk. The approved scheme was completed in 1995. A condition of the 1994 development approval requires that the approved landscaping scheme is maintained for as long as the development exists. Pedestrians have enjoyed continuous and uninterrupted access along the walkway running through Mactaggarts Place between Vernon Terrace and Riverwalk for the last 22 years exactly as was intended and agreed as part of the 1994 conversion of Mactaggarts Place. On 30 June 2016 the body corporate of Mactaggarts Place installed a series

Fish & Chip shops in Brisbane
Hey everyone of r/brisbane Can someone point me in the direction of a good fish & chip shop in brisbane?? I’m talking the cheap and covered in batter & layered with chicken salt type, not the fancy expensive stuff . I had a local one in Albion but it shut down recently and I’ve been looking ever since Used to live in Melbourne and they had that stuff down pat, but I’ve been unsuccessful in finding anything similar in brisbane, with the exception of Dougs Fish & Chips in Sandgate but that’s too far for me to travel So where abouts in Brisbane city and surrounding areas (Kelvin Grove, even as far out as Chermside) can i find the best, cheapest fish and chip shops?? TIA! submitted by /u/brizburn [link] [comments]
