Buying puppies?

Looking at getting a puppy. Ideally purebred Golden, or Golden x Labrador from purebred parents. I bought our last puppy from Dogzonline – my experience was it was very expensive (but worth it). I notice they don’t seem to have a cross section and deal in purebreds. I’ve been told to avoid Gumtree / Trading Post because the seller’s on there tend to mistreat dogs 🙁 Obviously I’m aware of the various “adopt a pet” charities, however, from what I understand they don’t deal in the specific type of puppy I am looking for. Walkway between McWhirters & Valley Metro – Why isn't anything done about it?

Just outside from Fortitude Valley train station there’s a walkway between Valley Metro shops and McWhirters shops where ‘The Chinese Club’ used to sit. Theres a dark section with no lighting, then you pass a small $2 store and the empty premises where The Chinese Club once was and you can see the boarded over elevators and graffiti, followed by the bridge that goes over Wickham street. I walk through here 3-4 times a week and I’ve always wondered why nothing is done about fixing this. It’s not exactly ideal or safe that people have to walk through a section with no lighting at all as well as the eyesore that once was The Chinese Club. Online articles suggests it’s been empty since 2008 and references a dispute between two owners. Can someone shed some light on this? Why has the place been empty all these years and nothing is

Brisbane Night Noodle Markets

Enjoyed the Night Noodle Markets when I went Thursday night. Recommend the bao trifecta at Bao Time as very generous – and finally tried Hoy Pinoy which was lovely. Today I had the trifecta again and Messina’s Great Balls Of Fryer (coconut and palm sugar gelato, passionfruit caramel sauce, mango pudding)…oh my. Top blokes in traffic

So last week my car got pranged. I just moved up to Brisbane, parked it on a quiet street, and came out to find some fuckwit had smashed into the side in the night and now the driver’s side door is a herculean task to open, and the panels have separated. No damage to the internals, thankfully, but if I didn’t have insurance I’d be paying out the arse to get it repaired. I was fucking fuming, tell you that much. Walked up and down the street staring at people’s cars like a psycho, but no dice. Now, my experience of Brisbane traffic is this. People are less angry, but more aggressive. There’s a two-lane road down near my local shopping centre just before some traffic lights that’s a 40 zone, and I drive 40 in that zone. Routinely (twice today!), some idiot will absolutely gun it, and zoom around
