Hi! I'm a year 10 student from Victoria who needs your help!

I am a Year 10 student at Sunbury Downs College in Victoria. For my psychology coursework, I am required to carry out an experiment/survey to collect data regarding an attitude held by people. I chose to investigate the same-sex marriage debate in Australia. The information will only be seen my myself and my teacher, and will not be published anywhere. Thank you Brisbane redditers.

Earlier this year I was staying with a family in Ascot until their father died. Overnight, I had to find places to stay for the next three weeks but I had no money. I jumped on the Brisbane subreddit as well as a facebook page and posted my problem and quickly found three places to stay for the next three weeks. Each host was amazingly warm and welcoming. I’ve tried this in different cities since to mixed results. Houston was terrible. Switzerland was the worst. Brazil was… interesting. Seattle was great. San Diego was oddly endearing. But none of them were nearly as good as Brisbane. Anyways, thanks for helping out a nomad in need. You’re the best. Boss refuses to pay me the hours that I worked. Is this legal?

Hi all, bit of background. I’m currently employed casually at company X (working full time hours). At the end of last week we were snowed in by emails. On Thursday we still hadn’t replied to emails that had been sent in on the previous Sunday. Way behind. As it turned out, I had to take my girlfriend to the airport at around 4am on Friday morning, and given that I work close to the airport I decided to head into the office straight after. I asked my manager the day before and he said that I was free to come in early. I arrived about 4:30am, worked from 4:30am until 2pm, at which point I was sent home. Today, one of the payroll girls comes and asks me if I can send her the hours that I worked, as I couldn’t clock in at 4:30am and she needed hours for

Facebook live video while driving

We’ve reached peak stupidity apparently. Just watched a girl do a live video in a Facebook group while she was driving. She picked up her phone multiple times, spent majority of the time reading the comments people were leaving, and at one point had her phone in one hand and was playing with her hair with the other. While driving. Not even at a traffic light. Is there anything that can be done about this? I know you can report hoons but I can’t find anywhere to report someone for breaking the law like this. Anyone involved in extreme / unusual sports or activities here?

Hi all, Some of you might already know that I am a photographer and was Australian Sports Photographer of the Year in 2014, and QLD Documentary Photographer of the year 2014,15,16. A lot of my accolades have been on the back of documenting Muay Thai. It was a sport I stumbled into by chance. I’m interested to know what sports people here might be involved with that are more unusual. I tried to talk to both the local Water Polo industry body as well as the one governing Sumo Wrestling.
