Electronics discount?
Hey, I’m looking to buy a new laptop. I’ve checked all the websites that this sub has recommended (umart, msy, pccasegear, etc…). I was just wondering whether electronics prices really drop around boxing day, and whether it’s worth it to wait 2 months. I’m not terribly in a hurry, so I can wait if the sale is worth it, otherwise I’ll just buy one now. I’m not looking for something super flashy or super new either, I do have some minimum specs though. Thanks. submitted by /u/lebanese_redditor [link] [comments]
Brisbane Confusing Road Sign meaning?
If there is a large white triangle on the road what does it mean? If the large triangle points downwards and you drive upwards to it on that side of that road are you on the wrong side? Its very confusing when these things appear when your driving through suburbs and go all around the place. submitted by /u/DrivingAus [link] [comments]
Need some dash cam advice
Hey guys, after almost hitting several soccer mums recently that aren’t paying attention to their surroundings (stop signs, give way signs, etc.) I’ve decided I should invest in a cam to back me up when I eventually hit one of them. Was thinking I want something at least capable of 720p res. Is there brands/models I should stay away from or lean towards? Are there any models that work at night time with infrared? Not too important, would just be a bonus. How does the storage work? SD card or external drive capable? Is there any other features they offer that I might not be aware of? Cheers. submitted by /u/oh_excuse_me [link] [comments]
Argentinian visiting Brisbane for a month
Hi, redditors! I’m a 20 year old male from Argentina that will be visiting Brisbane for a month during January with my 17 year old sister. Even though I’ve found out a lot of information on Google, we always dreamt about visiting Australia so I wanted to ask you for some tips to get the most out of our experience: We really want to learn how to surf so we are planning taking a few classes. Any recommendations about surf schools and beaches? What’s the best way to get to the Gold Coast by public transportation? We want to do some sports stuff like mountain biking, running, hiking and scuba diving (we have little to zero experience). What are some good places to do that kind of stuff? What about the nightlife there? We would love to meet new people and make new friends. Are there any clubs or bars
Does anyone work as a Rider / Driver for Uber eats? If so whats it like?
I’ve used it 3 or so times and can’t believe how cheap it is? So cheap that I wonder how anyone can be paid half-decently to do it. The job also sounds like my worst nightmare, but thats just me. submitted by /u/swampalicious [link] [comments]
