[rant] Legacy way bull shit.
Just went through the legacy way tunnel to get home from a party faster because we were falling asleep only to be met with a big 40k/h sign. Roadworks in tunnel…. As we were driving at this ridiculously slow speed for some time we started thinking. Why are we paying a toll to go slower than the “free” route? Hang on, why the fuck is there no warning of this “roadwork” before the entry?? What road work? There is one truck with its lights flashing and one ute with its lights flashing. What the fuck. End. submitted by /u/Solid_Steak87 [link] [comments]

What's up with the doors on our trains?
Half of them nowadays have the big locked stickers over them. Are the doors broken or do they have a good reason for not wanting to open those doors? Sick of having to walk over to the other side of the carriage to exit the train or having to walk to the next door to get on the train. I nearly missed getting my chance to get off the train the other day as someone had taken the locked stickers off the door. submitted by /u/magpie1862 [link] [comments]
Deck replacement – engineer/council certificate?
Hi folks, I’ve got an old 6m x 3m deck out the back that is in need of replacement. Furthermore, I need to extend it from 6m to 8.5m due to a new window that was installed that has a railing in the middle of it (knew this would be the case, always planned to extend). So, as it turns out the existing deck never had a council approval(house built around 30 years ago), of which we knew when we purchased the house last year. Question, do I realllly need an approval and therefore usually $$ engineers certificate? I’m effectively replacing the old deck (still strong, just the decking boards have rotted) and support structure. Everything I’m replacing is basically thicker, wider or both. While I know the decking guidelines for spacing and thicknesses (and naturally, I’m a hardwood only kinda guy), any one else had experience in this area?
This is why we can't have nice things. Good Samaritan attacked by coward.

Looking for a Great Hairdresser / Barber – Mens
Hey Guys & Gals, I’m getting married in two weeks & need to get a Haircut. I am looking for recommendations for a great Barber or Hair Stylist around inner Brisbane (Don’t Mind north or South) who will take the time with me and suggest what will work for me, instead of the normal “What will it be today”. Obviously want to look good on the day and look good for the photos my future wife and I will see for the rest of our lives. Money not really an issue if the quality is there. Any suggestions, fire away! Thanks! submitted by /u/mikey4121 [link] [comments]
