Visiting Brisbane from Scotland: comment your favourite things to do if you weren't a tourist!

This is going to be my first time in Brisbane. My girlfriend is from there but we haven’t seen each other in 9 months almost. Telstra Cable Broadband outages

PSA: Qld Marriage Certificates

Today I learned that there are three different types of marriage certificates issued in Queensland: Standard Certificates Ceremonial Certificates Commemorative Certificate Packages (includes a Standard Certificate). Only Standard Certificates can now be used for official purposes. They are not automatically given when you register your marriage – you have to purchase them. Generally, when you get married in a religious ceremony, all you receive is a ceremonial certificate – this CANNOT be used to prove that you got married. If you don’t have a Standard Certificate, you cannot use your marriage certificate to get a passport or other official government document as I discovered to my dismay today. *edit for formatting submitted by /u/julesoftheherring [link] [comments]
