I’m 19 and halfway through my business course majoring in supply chain management but I am thinking about at changing to a career that is highly demanded. At the moment, I’m not too sure what specific trade I want to do but I just like to hear what you guys think about the industry you work in. submitted by /u/jerryboree [link] [comments]

Red flags from agent when renting?
Throwaway because… who are we kidding, all my accounts are throwaway on a long enough timeline… Anyway. Have a rental agreement ready to go on a place we really like. The big downside is that it’s on a major road, and reversing a trailer into the carport will likely involve traffic disruption and isn’t particularly safe IMO. So we’ve asked for a gate to be added on the side (corner block). Negotiations are neither here nor there, as it will have to happen regardless of who pays for it. Owner has come back with “sure, but you’re paying and it has to be done to (list of conditions – basically pay someone to do it).” Quotes for the work seem to be around the $1k mark, affordable, but why am I paying to improve someone’s property? My original idea of making a temporary gate and restoring the fence when we

Do you make assumptions?
I had my very first speed dating experience last night; it was interesting. However the one thing which stands out is how many assumptions people make. Heres the example which really brought it to my attention. Them: So what do you do for work? Me: I’m not employed at the moment, focusing on self improvement rather than work right now. Them: Oh, well we might as well finish here I’m only looking for a person with a job. Ok.. thats fine I suppose. Onto the next person. Them: Hey, so what do you do with yourself? Me: Not a huge amount currently, I’m teaching myself to code. Them: Oh thats really cool. Are you at Uni? Me: Nah, I just do online courses. Them: Oh, well do you have part time job or something? Me: Not currently, I sold my company last year so I don’t really need to work.

Seeking your help re: Magnum size sparkling wine/champagne stockists btw here and Cabarita NSW.
Howdy folks! You have been a great help with dentists, suburbs to live etc before so I call on your assistance once more. Me and a certain other (relatively post-quiet) redditor are gettin hitched next week and we have admittedly left the buying of the big assed bubbly a tad late. It is now that I realise I should have purchased online as visiting First Choice and calling Uncle Dans has me in a pickle due to Mag’s being an order-in kinda deal. We don’t want/need Dom, Crystale etc, and Moet is (in our opinion) overpriced garbage. (tip: try the Chancellor and co from BWS/Dans, tops out at $8 and is fucking great!) Can anyone suggest a bottle-o or wine merchant/outley SOR and not further than Cabarita at which we could pick up a Bollinger or the like? Would be real appreciated! submitted by /u/Knotknewtooreaddit [link] [comments]

What's Quirk up to?
So I got this ‘To the Resident’ letter in the mail today: http://imgur.com/1b0RylN This line in bold concerns me: “nearly all of these new homes can only be delivered through redevelopment of existing properties.” Why is it in bold? Is this a hint that they may be planning to reclaim or subdivide people’s properties to achieve this? submitted by /u/TwelveOrangeZealots [link] [comments]
